Flower Care
Some instructions on how you can take care of your flowers at home:
- Unwrap the flowers carefully without scratching/injuring the stems.
- Trim the bottom of the stem diagonally at a 45 degrees angle (not horizontally & don't trim too much!)
- Here's where is gets interesting: Many add a teaspoon of sugar in the vase with warm water, others use half a lemon juice to add with warm water, some also use the packet of "flower food" liquid, others add crushed Panadol pill, but I usually add a few drops of Clorox to the water in the vase. You do you on this one, folks!
- Don't forget to change the water every 2 days, some flowers drink up the water faster so keep an eye out for the water levels in the vase.
- Please keep the flower vases away from the windows as it shortens the life of the flowers when hit by direct sun light! Preferably keep them in a cold room.
- Please keep the flower vases away from fruits as it lets out harmful gases that make the flowers wilt.
- It helps to keep some sensitive flowers in the fridge like peonies and hydrangeas and tulips.
- Keep in mind some flower/plant varieties are toxic to pets, keep them away when needed.
